This year, for the first time, our award winners don’t take home trophies, but will be immortalized in the Viennese cityscape with plaques on freshly planted trees. The main prize winners, the winners of the jury prizes and four special prize winners were presented with certificates showing the exact location of “their” trees at the award ceremony. The ten young trees are located throughout Vienna, from the Hauptallee at Prater to Cobenzlgasse in Döbling and tree grates in Simmering, Floridsdorf and Ottakring. Via a QR code on the attached plaque, the respective award-winning short film can be streamed on your smartphone in the immediate vicinity of the tree.
