The award winners of our 20th edition
The winners of our 20th edition have been chosen! We are delighted for Viktoria Schmid, who was awarded the Austrian Short Film Award for her visually magical New York study NYC RGB at today’s award ceremony at Stadtkino im Künstlerhaus. The top prizes in the international competitions went to the surreal, dark puppet animation Remember How I Used to Ride a White Horse and the dystopian, shrill regime-critique fable Hito from the Philippines.
All three films are thus qualified for the Academy AwardsⓇ and will each receive a newly planted tree in Vienna dedicated as a “living trophy.”
