A Festival for Everyone
We want to make the festival accessible to everyone—regardless of age, background, or income. That’s why we offer certain groups free admission and, starting in 2025, have introduced a tiered ticket pricing system for all events.
Based on your personal situation, you can decide for yourself how much you can and want to pay—no proof or ID required. We simply ask you to be honest.
This tiered pricing model is based on the “Pay What You Can” guidelines of the Scottish Queer International Film Festival and has been adapted for Vienna with their kind permission.
Who can attend for free?
- All festival visitors under 19 years of age (supported by the City of Vienna)
- Holders of a Kulturpass (as part of the Hunger for Art and Culture initiative)
- Holders of a nonstop cinema subscription
- Currently in Voluntary Social Year (FSJ). Proof: Climate Ticket marked “Freiwilligendienst”.
- Companions for wheelchair-accessible seats
Valid as long as seats are available. No reservation possible. Tickets to be collected at the evening box office.
How are ticket prices structured?
€4 – Pay-what-you-can Ticket
For those with limited financial resources, for whom this price makes festival participation possible in the first place.
€7,50 – Reduced Ticket
For those who value culture but have financial constraints and still want to contribute fairly—also available for club members of our partner Ö1.
€10,50 – Standard Ticket
For those who see culture as an essential part of life, can afford this value without major restrictions, and want to help sustain the festival.
€13 – Solidarity Ticket
For those who deeply appreciate the value of culture and are willing to pay more—helping make the festival accessible to others while ensuring a sustainable and fair event for all.
What festival passes are available?
€20 – Fair Pass
For those who want to experience culture but can only contribute a smaller amount. This pass gives you access to all film screenings and live events—so you won’t have to miss anything.
30 € – Standard Pass
For those who want to dive into the full festival experience. This pass grants unrestricted access to all film screenings and live events while also supporting the fair realization of the festival.
45 € – Solidarity Pass
For those who highly value art and culture and can afford to contribute more. Your solidarity helps break down barriers and ensures fair conditions for everyone involved in the festival.
100 € – All Eyes On You Pass
For those who don’t just want to be there but want to be the center of attention: the All Eyes On You Pass guarantees maximum visibility, including an exclusive glamorous photoshoot with the festival management at the opening gala.
What’s included in the festival pass?
