INCLUSION
We aim to make our events as accessible as possible. For this reason, we have carried out an accessibility check of our festival venues. Click on the location you would like to visit to find out more about wheelchair spaces, induction loop systems in cinemas, and accessible parking. If you require further information, assistance, or support on site, please do not hesitate to contact us.
Assistants receive free admission.

WE SEE OURSELVES AS AN INTERNATIONAL FILM FESTIVAL IN VIENNA
Vienna Shorts is an international film festival in Vienna with strong regional roots. It accepts films from all countries, which are screened in their original language with English subtitles. Information on the respective language will be available in the screening details once the program is published.
All texts and forms are provided bilingually—in German and English. Moderation during the festival is primarily in English to ensure that international audiences and filmmakers are fully included.
DIVERSITY AND INCLUSION ARE CORE VALUES
Our goal is equal representation of all genders in every competition. In curating the VIENNA SHORTS program, we pay particular attention to the political context and production conditions of the films. We are committed to supporting filmmakers who are read as female or who belong to underrepresented groups. Our clear political stance informs every decision we make.
WEBSITE
To improve readability, we have added a feature that allows the website to be switched to black and white. You can find this button in the bottom row of the menu bar next to the language selection.
We welcome feedback and suggestions on what additional inclusion measures you would like to see from VIENNA SHORTS in the future.
