ACCREDITATION

The deadline for industry accreditations has ended. If you have any questions, please reach out to accreditation@viennashorts.com.

Please note: General Admission to the festival is free for anyone under 19, holders of a Culture Pass, refugees with ID, and subscribers to the nonstop cinema pass.

Who can apply for accreditation?

Representatives of the film, TV, and cinema industry; professional filmmakers; representatives of film festivals or film-related institutions; (aspiring) film scholars and researchers; students of film and animation.

The festival reserves the right to decide on accreditation after reviewing the submitted documents. For press accreditation, please contact presse@viennashorts.com. Student groups interested in individual events should reach out to akkreditierung@viennashorts.com.

How much does accreditation cost?

You can decide for yourself how much you would like to pay based on your personal situation. While we recommend a regular fee of €30, those for whom this amount represents a financial burden can apply for a discounted accreditation at €20. If you would like to actively support others, we encourage you to choose a solidarity accreditation for €50.

Payment is made online and is non-refundable. Accepted payment methods include credit card (VISA, Mastercard), PayPal, and direct bank transfer (Sofortüberweisung).

The industry accreditation includes:

  • access to all film screenings, live events, and industry events of the festival
  • 4 weeks of access to the streaming platform THIS IS SHORT after account activation
  • access to the video library, delegates list, and online catalog (app) with all film contacts
  • invitation to the daily industry drinks CinemAperitivo at MuseumsQuartier
  • free entry to all exhibitions at mumok during the festival period

Please note:

  • Even with accreditation, ticket reservations are required for all venues (except Milieukino). These reservations will be available as free tickets in the ticket shop.
  • The video library will be accessible from June 2 to June 30, 2025.
  • All films will be shown in their original version with English subtitles.
