The festival portal THIS IS SHORT—our collaborative streaming project together with the Short Film Festival Oberhausen (DE), Go Short (NL) and Short Waves (PL)—ended on June 30 after three months. The short film platform was structured like an online festival, and three prizes were awarded in the joint online competition New Point Of View. The jury's main prize of 4,000 euros went to Belgian artist Eva Giolo for Flowers blooming in our throats (IT 2020) about the importance of gestures and physical contact after the lockdown. The second prize of 2,000 euros went to Swiss Loïc Hobi, who tells the story of a violent Internet user from the perspective of an algorithm in Les Nouveaux Dieux (New Gods) (CH/FR 2020). The audience chose The Problem of the Hydra (FI 2020) by Finnish artist Maija Tammi via online voting in the competition, which included 23 films from 20 countries.
