This year's trailer for the festival was created by the internationally acclaimed filmmaker Gala Hernández López (ES), who is also an Artist-in-Residence at the MuseumsQuartier in May. It can be seen in numerous Viennese cinemas from now on. On its creation, Hernández López reflects on the focus theme: "I wanted to propose an image that requires a certain degree of careful observation or even a process of deciphering, because it is not unambiguous or fully legible." The footage was shot with a camera that captures the polarisation of light, developed by researchers at Harvard University and used artistically for the first time in the trailer.
