As one of 24 partner festivals for the European Film Awards, we are pleased to announce that this year two winning films of Vienna Shorts 2020 are among the five nominees for “Best Short Film”: SUN DOG by Dorian Jespers (BE) won the competition Fiction & Documentary, GENIUS LOCI by Adrien Merigeau won the section Animation Avantgarde. The other three nominees are ALL CATS ARE GREY IN THE DARK by Lasse Linder (CH), PAST PERFECT by Jorge Jácome (PT) and UNCLE THOMAS: ACCOUNTING FOR THE DAYS by Regina Pessoa (PT). This year’s EFA Gala will be presented online between December 8 and 12, the category Best Short Film will be presented on Thursday, December 10th – also live with us from 8 pm!
