Cinema For The Youngest 2026

Liveliness in the theater is explicitly encouraged! With a great atmosphere, which is easily expressed in the cozy cinema seats, the CHILDREN'S CINEMA is a very special moment at the festival. With our diverse family programs for children ages 3 to 10, we dive into the world of watching films together and explore and discuss the feelings and emotions that move from the screen into our minds and hearts.

For these programs, the cinema is entirely dedicated to the children (and, on this occasion, also their parents and accompanying adults). For the youngest cinema newcomers the lights in the theater will not be completely dimmed, and the films will be played at a reduced volume. In most screenings, the short films will be accompanied by film educators.

All children and teenagers under 19 years of age generally have free admission to the festival, while accompanying adults can purchase tickets at the regular price or at a discounted rate of €4 with the WIENXTRA-KINDERAKTIVCARD.
