What wonderful news! Thomas Renoldner has been nominated for the Austrian Film Prize 2026 with his animation Stampfer Dreams in the category Best Short Film! In 2024, the homage to scientist Simon von Stampfer—who presented his invention of the stroboscopic disc in Vienna in 1833—screened in our opening programme. At VIENNA SHORTS, Thomas Renoldner has been working for years alongside Louise Linsenbolz as programme director for the Animation Avantgarde competition.
