New realms and undiscovered stories from around the world are revealed in our two international competition categories. In the category Fiction & Documentary, 29 films from 23 countries explore memory, political realities, and complex human emotions. Animation Avantgarde, featuring 22 works from 10 nations, is dedicated to existential questions surrounding perception as well as the present and its inherent systems. Multiple films are from France, Germany and the United Kingdom. We are also delighted to present contributions from Iran, the Democratic Republic of the Congo and Taiwan.
