For more than a decade, we have extended invitations to two esteemed film festivals to collaboratively deliberate on thematic focal points. This collaboration gives rise to the Triangular Program, comprising three curated film collections that will be showcased across all participating festivals. This year, our partnership extends to the prestigious Dokufest from Kosovo and the remarkable BIEFF from Romania, with a central theme revolving around the yearning for political stability. While our program delves into the significance of fundamental rights and freedoms during an election year, Dokufest is actively addressing autocratic inclinations in the Balkans, and BIEFF is shedding light on resistance movements within smaller communities. The anticipation for this collaboration is palpable, and we are eager to witness the diverse perspectives and narratives that will unfold.
