Supervising Producer Op-Docs
Alexandra Garcia leads Op-Docs, The New York Times’ Oscar-winning series of short documentaries. Her Emmy-winning work at The Times, including as a director/producer for The Weekly and The New York Times Presents, has screened at festivals worldwide. She was a Nieman Fellow and previously worked for The Washington Post.
Miguel Dias (PT)
Festival Director and Programmer
Miguel Dias is the director of the film festival Curtas Vila do Conde, which he founded in 1993, and of Agência – Portuguese Short Film Agency. He is also a producer and curator of short films and retrospectives, and co-founded the festival Odisseia Nas Imagens during Porto 2001 – European Capital of Culture.
Mo Harawe (AT)
Screenwriter and Director
The Somali-Austrian screenwriter and director Mo Harawe is the recipient of the Outstanding Artist Award (2024) and has received international acclaim. His short film Will My Parents Come to See Me won, among others, the Austrian Film Award. His feature debut The Village Next to Paradise premiered at Cannes in 2024.
