Erwin Wagenhofer

Erwin Wagenhofer worked as assistant director and camera assistant for several TV productions from 1983 to 1987. He received many awards for his documentary films We Feed The World (2005) and Let's Make Money (2008). From 1995 to 2000 Erwin Wagenhofer was visiting lecturer at the Danube University Krems; since 2002 he teaches at the University of Applied Arts in Vienna.

Limes

In December 1997 the Schengen Agreement came into effect, as a result of which Austria´s eastern border became the outer border of the EU. The securing of this border was called Operation Limes by the Ministry of the Interior, presumably after the ancient Roman limes which divided the continent here 2000 years ago. Limes shows an Austrian border patrol and how they capture illegal border crossers at night, then follows the capturees to a Hungarian reception camp.
