Filippo Soldi graduated in modern arts at the State University of Milan in 1993. In 1995, he made his diploma in dramaturgy and screenwriting at the Paolo Grassi School of Dramatic Art in Milan. He worked as an assistant director for Monica Conti, Aurelio Grimaldi, Luca Ronconi, Diego Ronsisvalle and Werner Schroeter.
