Mozart Party ’06

Austria 2006, 1 min
director, screenplay, production: Thomas Renoldner | music: Andi Haller
There is hardly any other artist whose name is exploited around the world so excessively and in so many different ways. The Mozart moniker has been used for airports, ski slopes, hotels and cafés in addition to numerous food products. Mozart Party ’06 is a caricature of this constant exploitation and at the same time an ominous prediction for the jubilee year of 2006.

Rhythmus 94

Austria 1994, 5 min
director, screenplay, editing, music: Thomas Renoldner | cinematography: Manfred Haspel, Thomas Renoldner
This film is a musical piece. The sounds, their pitches, their relationships to one another, and especially the (poly)rhythmic structures are to be read as a score for the organization and the multiple overlaying of images and vice versa. Image and sound become one; they have grown together, have been invented for one another. A perfect, homogenous piece of "Visual Music".
