Mark Romanek

* 1959 in Chicago.

Mark Romanek studied photography at the Ithaka College in New York. He directed Scream for Michael Jackson and Janet Jackson which was the most expensive music video ever made. He made many other music videos, e.g. for David Bowie, Johnny Cash, Mick Jagger, Madonna and Nine Inch Nails, as well as numerous advertising clips. Mark Romanek also directed two feature films, Static (1985) with Amanda Plummer and One Hour Photo (2002) with Robin Williams.
