
Christoph Rainer
* 1985 in Klosterneuburg.
Christoph Rainer attended the course for film-making at the Vienna Film School from 2003 to 2004. Since 2004, he is member of Gruppe Umkehrfilm – Association of Young Film-makers. Since 2005, he has made placements with Ruth Mader Filmproduktion. In 2006, he attended the Filmcollege Wien. Since 2006, Christoph Rainer studies directing at the Vienna Film Academy.

In the depths of a cellar, where the boundaries between past and present, dream and reality, life and death are blurred, two brothers are on the run from their violent father. Some will spot a reference to Charles Laughton’s The Night of the Hunter, the allusions are diverse and, in the end, shine through Christoph Rainer’s gloomy film like broken snow globes through darkness.
