Mozart Sells

Austria 2006, 1 min, language: without dialogue
The Mozart industry relies on constant exploitation of the event label W.A.M. in connection with the Austrian Republic’s mythical definition of itself as a "land of music." Innocence and everlasting value are implied. Mozart Sells fills a minute of dead time in the workday of a street peddler dressed like Mozart – a requiem for the minor gesture, an homage to the stereotype, more precisely, a commercial.

VIS Vienna Independent Shorts 2006, The Mozart-Minute
