Russia in the time of Perestroika. Hormone-ridden Boris loves the disco, a girl – and his mother’s new camcorder. With the latter he not only seduces the neighbourhood, that is able to watch sex films for prompt cash, but, with a little bit of luck, he will also win over his prospective girl friend. Dmitry Povolotsky’s coming-of-age-film glitters with its love for detail and profound knowledge of the whole gamut.
