
Jascha Novak
* 1983 in Vienna.
Jascha Novak worked as camera assistant with ORF from 2004 to 2007. From 2006 to 2007 he studied at the School for Independent Filmmaking in Vienna (Robert Fenz, Pip Chodorov, Friedl Kubelka and Gustav Deutsch). Since 2007, he studied at the Academy for Fine Arts in Vienna (video and video installation class, Dorit Margreiter).

Austria 2008, 4 min, language: without dialogue
A view through a white, meandering tunnel, a labyrinth of light and shadow. But appearances are deceptive, the space doesn’t exist – and the multiple exposures and split screens of Jascha Novak’s cinematography turn out to be pure illusion.
