Norman McLaren

* 1914 in Stirling, † 1987 in Montreal.

Norman McLaren was an animator and film director known for his revolutionary work in the fields of film animation, visual music, abstract film, pixilation and graphical sound. In 1952, he won an Oscar for the Best Documentary for Neighbours. Norman McLaren worked for the National Film Board of Canada (NFB).
