Martin Arnold
* 1959 in Vienna.
Martin Arnold is an experimental filmmaker and a founding member of sixpackfilm (1991). He studied psychology and art history at the University of Vienna. Since 1988 he has worked as a freelance filmmaker. With Gottfried Schlemmer and Peter Tscherkassky he organized the symposium and the film screening „Im Off der Geschichte” in 1990. Together with Alexander Horwath and Tscherkassky he curated the restrospective „Unknown Territories” in 1992, a film screening with independent American productions. He hold lectures in Europe and the United States, among other at the Cinemathèque Paris, Hamilton College, Utica College, Colgate University, New York and at the University of Illinois, Chicago. Since 1995 he is a guest lecturer at the University of Wisconsin, Kansas City Art Institute and San Francisco Art Institute.
