Pierre Hébert: Performance & Showcase
Pierre Hébert is one of the giants of film, often mentioned along with pioneers like Norman McLaren, Len Lye or Stan Brakhage. Hébert, born in Montreal in 1944, however, is almost more famous for his live animation performances that have garnered the longstanding NFB-employee and former director of the Cinémathêque Québecoise worldwide acclaim. Frequently awarded with prizes during his career, Hébert received the prestigious Albert Tessier lifetime achievement award in Quebec in 2004.
