Animateka
The Animateka - International Animation Film Festival, takes place in Ljubljana every year. First held in 2004, the festival was a great success. Since then the festival enlarges his programme from year to year and shows beside the competition a lot of special programmes.
The goal of the festival is to showcase animation production from central and east European countries. Every year animated film professionals and foreign guests are invited to the Animateka, thereby the festival is establishing a space where authors, producers, journalists, students and other interested parties will meet and exchange their ideas and experiences.
VIS Vienna Independent Shorts will show a selection of films from the Animateka 2006 at our Animation Night and we are very glad that Igor Prassel, the director of the Animateka, will be present at the projection.

He arrives unannounced and cannot understand why people don't like him, why they are so neurotically obsessed with cleanliness and why they cannot relax. Armed with a naïve good-heartedness he sets out to find his place under the nose…
